Our Mission

“We aspire to be an inspiration through music and service with a commitment to excellence.”

About Us

For more than seventy years, Purdue Musical Organizations (PMO) has proudly served the Purdue University family as ambassadors of goodwill on campus, across the country, and around the world.

PMO is a professional entertainment organization and exists to bring pleasure and enjoyment to audiences everywhere. Music fosters a spirit of camaraderie among PMO students as they learn, perform, and grow together.

The nationally acclaimed Purdue Christmas Show is presented annually to a live crowd of thousands and reaches millions more through international broadcasts on public television and radio networks. PMO performances offer a wide variety of music and have become a favorite source of entertainment for generations of music lovers.

The ensembles that comprise PMO include the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, Purduettes, Purdue Bells, Heart & Soul, All Campus & Community Chorale, and PMO Specialties such as Ba-Na-Na, Holy Cow Girls, and Four-In-Hand. Many marvel that Purdue provides so much in the field of musical entertainment, as the University is a land grant institution that does not offer a degree in music.

Student performers present more than 200 performances each year. PMO’s mission is to bring positive recognition and honor to Purdue, continually challenge students to realize their potential, and always “leave the audience better than we found them.”

PMO maintains high academic standards and offers scholarships, grants, and tutoring assistance. Since its founding in 1933, PMO strives to provide the highest quality musical entertainment for audiences. However, PMO’s most important goal is to provide a program for students to learn, perform, and grow together.
