New Pictures!

The Purduettes had an amazing day in Vancouver! We started out with another marvelous breakfast at the Sandman Hotel and headed off to the mountains. We loaded the bus and drove to Grouse Mountain where we had our first Vancouver performance. It was incredible because we had to load all of our properties into a Sky Lift for our show at the top of the mountain. The ride was 6 minutes long and we traveled 4,100 feet to the very top. It was a great opportunity for some breathtaking pictures. Once we reached the top we prepared for our show inside the lodge. The performance was a lot of fun as we sang to the many visitors and hikers passing through the lodge. After our show we watched a lumberjack show which we all enjoyed immensly. Two men competed at various events such as log-rolling, wood-chopping, ax-throwing, chainsaw carving, and tree climbing. When the show was over we explored the top of the mountain, seeing a couple of grizzly bears as well as taking in the amazing scenery. Lunch was delicious as we dined in The Overlook, a restaurant within the lodge with beautiful views. After lunch we took the Sky Rail back to the bottom. We then traveled to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was a quaint outdoor historical attraction with shops and eateries that attracts tourists from all over the world. We traveled across the shaky suspension bridge 230 feet above the Capilano Canyon to the Treetops Adventure. This was an amazing network of bridges 70 feet above the stunning landscape. This park was nestled into an astonishingly beautiful temperate rainforest full of douglas fir, ferns, and sequoia trees. We took some beautiful pictures and had a lot of fun learning about the history of the area. After this great stop we drove along the ocean through Vancouver. The scenery was very different from the other locations we’ve experienced, with a very wet and lush flora. We arrived back at our hotel with the evening free to enjoy dinner at our leisure as well as the fun Vancouver night life.
