Glee Club Camp
Monday, August 14, 2006
The Glee Club starts off every year with an intense one week training camp to get everybody back into top singing form. Here are just a few of the highlights from the week.
A small group of freshmen, called New Men in the Glee Club, stand waiting for the bus to arrive.
Bus rides are places of diverse activity any time of the year.
The first night included a dinner on the patio at the Oakwood Inn.
Ryan McClean, Stephen Mitchel, Andrew Wirtner, and John Hall their first taste of Glee Club rehersal.
New Men and Old Men alike rehearse at camp.
Dave Bukiet, this years manager, is flanked by Eric Van Houten and Keith Starost, the assistant managers for the Glee Club.
All of us get up on stage to rehearse with Brian.
Some of us decided to utilize our free time to go swimming in the beautiful Lake Wawasee.
Near the end of the week, the New Men perform a show for the Old Men.
They already look like seasoned, veteren performers!
They learn and grow so quickly.
The Old Men stand and join the New Men to sing Hail Purdue.
After that ordeal, we all needed a break, so what better to do than bowl?
The winning team was made up of Ryan Schroder, Andrew Claxton, Connie Balztell, and Israel Pederson.
A toast to this year’s Glee Club!
Why are the New Men carrying an assistant manager?
WHAT?!?!
Ah, yes. The tradition of throwing the managers into the lake on our last night. And now its time for the Glee Club to be unleashed on the world!
