A new day provides a chance to see some new wildlife like this monitor.
Zebras eat a wide range of different grasses. Their main predators include lions, hyenas and crocodiles, when crossing a river. They are very social and often migrate together in large herds.
Don’t be confused by their looks, hippos can run very fast and are regarded as the most dangerous animal in the park.
What a find! Kruger is home to only about 400 leopards, which spend most of their day napping in the trees.
With two rivers, Kruger National Park is a great place to see crocodiles.
Giraffes, the tallest of all land-living animals, have seven vertebrae in their neck separated by highly flexible joints. A giraffe’s heart, which can weigh up to 22 pounds and measure 2 feet in length, needs to generate double the normal blood pressure for an average large mammal in order to maintain blood flow to the brain against gravity.
The Glee Club performed a concert with the Kruger National Park choir at an outdoor amphitheater in the middle of the rest camp.
Glee Clubbers used flashlights to illuminate their faces during the show.
Sophomore Ian Hyman serenades the beautiful Donetta Ratliff, one of our “family and friends” touring with us.
The safari jeep headlights provided additional lighting, though we had to stop the show every thirty minutes to switch out the vehicles so they would still have enough battery for our game drives the next morning.
Glee Clubbers Barry Helfrich and Matt White are all smiles with Emilie Crabb and Barb Johnson.
